It’s always so tough this time of year with wedding season in full swing to be able to take any time for ourselves. When J&M invited us to take a few weekdays for ourselves to head up to Nantucket to celebrate Mary’s birthday we knew we had to jump on the opportunity for some R&R with the calendar getting fuller each day. Even with a 24 hour round trip drive we were able to squeeze in plenty of wine, games, jeeps, sailboats, and all things lobster as Mary celebrated her um 21st birthday in style! I couldn’t be more thankful to have spent a few foggy, preppy days with Justin, Mary, Liz, Ryan, Spring, Emilia, and of course my lovely wife and look forward to our next adventure together!
This film was shot entirely hand(and sand) held with the canon 6d and the 24-105 kit lens. As much as extra gear would have added to the production value of the film it would have pulled me out of the moment and would have had way less fun with my friends. The 6d is a great walk around camera due to it’s size and weight and the IS of the 24-105 really takes some of the usual shake from topsiders meeting cobblestone.
